Personal Data Protection Notice under Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK) · Last updated: October 2026

As the data controller, Prof. Dr. N. Çiğdem Arslan processes the personal data of website visitors and of people who contact the practice in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and related legislation. This notice explains which data we collect through this website, why we collect it and what rights you have.

• Identity and contact data: your name, phone number and email address entered in the contact form.
• Content of your message: the information you choose to write in the message field.
• Technical data: the page from which the form was sent and the date and time of the request. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including your IP address, for security purposes.

Please do not share detailed health information, test results or identity numbers through the contact form. Medical information is collected only during a consultation, through the appropriate channels.

• Responding to your enquiry and contacting you by phone or email;
• Arranging and organising appointments;
• Ensuring the security of the website and preventing misuse (for example spam);
• Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from authorised public authorities.

4. Legal basis and method of collection

Your data is collected electronically when you submit the contact form on this website. It is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form (KVKK Article 5/1), and, where applicable, because processing is necessary to take steps at your request before establishing a contractual relationship and for the legitimate interests of the data controller (KVKK Article 5/2-c and 5/2-f).

5. Transfer of personal data

Your data is not sold or shared for marketing purposes. It may be shared, only to the extent necessary, with:

• Service providers that host this website and its email system, who process the data on our behalf;
• Authorised public institutions, where required by law.

Because website and email infrastructure may be located on servers outside Türkiye, submitting the form may involve a transfer of personal data abroad. Such transfers are carried out in line with KVKK Article 9, based on your explicit consent.

6. Retention period

Messages received through the contact form are kept for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and organise your appointment, and in any case for no longer than two years, unless a longer period is required by law. After that, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under KVKK Article 11, you have the right to:

• learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it;
• learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used for that purpose;
• know the third parties to whom your data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad;
• request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
• request deletion or destruction of your data under the conditions set out in KVKK Article 7;
• request that third parties to whom your data has been transferred are notified of such correction or deletion;
• object to a result against you arising from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems;
• claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

You can send requests about your personal data by email to mail@profdrcigdemarslan.com or in writing to the address above. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest, in accordance with KVKK Article 13.
